Becoming a CASA

• To become a CASA you should be willing to give one year of your time
• You must be 21 years old or older
• You must be able to pass an extensive background check
• You need to take a simple pre-service training class (evenings long)

Once you become a CASA volunteer you will do the following:

• Be sworn in by the judge
• Receive at least one case
• Visit you CASA child(ren) about once a month
• Keep in contact with the child(ren) in your case
• Attend CPS court when your case is being reviewed
• Turn on monthly activity and mileage logs
