COME ALL YE WHO ARE BURDENED, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST

My blessings on you this day! Thank you for your beautiful petition that I come and converse with you.

My lesson for my people this day is on disillusion and suffering in your world. I see so much discontent, so much suffering, so many de-pressed souls in your world today. Why is this so?

Man suffers because he has left God out of his life for the most part. As I have stated many, many times, man will not find true happiness in the world's sense. The world teaches that you need financial success, prestige, and worldly goods to be happy. This is a false sense of security. Verily, I say unto you that those who communicate with their God and are intimate with him are the only ones on your
earth who understand the true meaning of security, not the false security that the world transmits, but the true security that God transmits. Why is it so difficult for humans to understand that God loves them totally? Without God in man's life, there is truly no meaning or happiness. Even if a man is successful in the world's standing, he may profess to be happy, but if he knows not God's love, then
he cannot be truly happy. He may not admit this truth, but deep down inside, he knows this to be true. That is why man was created--to know and serve God with his whole heart and soul while on earth. This is man's mission and purpose on earth--not to become worldly in the world's sense and abandon God, but to keep God close and love him and let God guide his life with tender love. God holds man's future in his hands. He knows the plan for each life. He weaves a tapestry of each man's life that will become a beautiful work of art, if only man lets him finish the pattern of life. So, I say unto you, look up to God, acknowledge him every day of your life, and let him guide you to complete your mission that he has selected for you so that you may one day return to him in glory. Do you want the glory of the world or the glory of God?

People of the world, I am your God, a loving God who stands with you through the good times and the bad times of your lives. In times of trials, I do not leave you or abandon you. Why do you blame God for your unhappiness? Would loving parents inflict harm on their children? No, they would not! So it is with God. He does not wish you trials or tribulations. However, he sometimes allows them to happen, for in difficult times, man turns to God. When people are lying in their bed of pain or trouble, they have to look up, and looking up, they cry out to God. Do you not see that pain and suffering can sometimes lead to sainthood? To commune with God, asking God to take your hand and lift you up from the pain and suffering in your life, might be your salvation. Are you too proud to do this? Will you "let go and let God" turn your misery into peace? But many will say that in difficult times
they have prayed to be released from their trials, but nothing happened. "Why?" they ask. Does God play favorites? Does he listen to some but not to others? Why are so many good and faithful people suffering from illness, from financial troubles, from family troubles, from wars, from famine and natural disasters? Why would a God who loves his people allow such things to happen to those who
are trying to do his will?

My children, these are all legitimate questions and worthy of an answer. Let me simply state that I love you and do not wish to see you unhappy, but, because of the fall of man, tribulation was allowed to enter the earth's atmosphere. No one is immune from it. The Son of God, my mother and foster father, my disciples, and many saintly people were not immune from trials and tribulations while on earth. We suffered in the same manner you are suffering today. My suffering was two-fold: I suffered mental and physical agony to atone for the sins of man and to defeat the enemy of the soul so that man would be lifted from the degradation that sin had placed him in and be reunited with his heavenly Father. Are you better than the Son of God, who suffered much as you? Suffering in the world today is part of your inheritance from the first man and woman. It is not directed from a loving God. But, as I have stated before, God allows suffering to atone for man's sins, to bring man closer to him, for sometimes it is only in suffering that man finds God. It is the only time men may call out to God, and [suffering] can be their salvation that enables them to return to the loving arms of their heavenly Father. Now, let me say to you, God, in his infinite wisdom, may allow a beautiful soul to suffer for the souls of others. Why? Because once again, in his infinite wisdom, God knows that these godly people will not abandon him. So if you are living a godly life, an exemplary life, and doing the will of God, do not be disheartened when you are allowed to suffer. Offer your suffering for the souls who are in need of God's mercy, and you will be working with God in his heavenly mission of saving souls for his kingdom. This is a great honor and privilege to be his helpmate in the salvation of souls. If those who are suffering will only remember to lift up their suffering in atonement for the sins of mankind, they will be blessed by God, and he will use them as instruments in his plan to save the world. What greater blessing can be received by man than to know that, by your sufferings, offered up to God,
you are his helpmate in saving mankind from destruction from the enemy of the soul. Blessed are you who suffer in my name, for the salvation of souls, for you will be rewarded greatly in my kingdom.

I say to my people who are suffering hardships now, "Come, you who are heavily laden, who are weary, and I will give you rest." Do not become discouraged, for I am always with you--I have not abandoned you. As the words to the song say:

God is too wise to be mistaken; God is too good to be unkind.

When you don't understand, when you can't see my plans,

When you can't reach my hand, trust my heart. For remember, I see the master plan of your lives. I see the tapestry that is being woven of your lives. Trust me, and I will see you through. If you feel that you have let go of my hands and no longer feel my presence, search for my heart, which is longing to love you and take away all your sufferings. I have not left you to suffer alone. I am with you to alleviate the pain, to whisper my sincere blessings, and to hold you in my sacred heart where love, God's love, is always with you in glory. So when you suffer trials and tribulations--and you will, for you live in a valley of tears that all men must cross to ascend to the top of the mountain where I await you with open arms--suffer in prayerful silence and humility, and if you still need further
comfort, read the book of Job. Read the trials and tribulations I encountered while on the earth.

Remember, life is but a journey of the soul back to its heavenly home, and it is by the way you travel this journey that the Lord God will judge each soul that enters the heavenly gate of paradise. So, if you are suffering now, in any capacity, turn it over to your friend and savior, offer your pains and sufferings for other souls, and go in God's peace and love. You will surely feel a sense of peace and well being, even amidst pain and tears, for you will be working "hand in hand" with the God of salvation. Remember, I am your God. Walk hand in hand with me every day of your life and my sacred heart will pour out, not blood and water, but pure love that will give you peace and alleviate your sufferings. Let me touch you and heal you physically and spiritually so that you will enter a healing-love relationship with me. All of you who are suffering now, I bless you. Feel my touch; feel my love for you in your time of need.

Your loving friend and savior

JESUS
