PREPARE YE THE WAY OF THE LORD
My dear children, ponder these words in your hearts, for they speak
to you of making way for the
Lord, my Son Jesus, to come to you as you relive his wondrous birth
once again on the earth.
To prepare or make ready for any event, you must put your mind and your
talents together and
perform the duties that will make the event more memorable, more meaningful--so
it is with
preparing or making ready for my loving Son to enter your heart. Unfortunately,
this only seems to
happen once in the course of your year. Be it as it may, I will now
explain what my Son wishes for
his people to do to prepare for his coming. Please listen:
Just as you plan for an important event to take place in your home,
you may correlate this to the
important event coming in your spiritual life. First the date is set
for the event, and then the
preparations must begin. Your home must be put in order; it must be
clean and immaculate. You
send out special invitations to come to your banquet, and you prepare
special food to serve at the
event. You take special care in planning for the event so that all
who attend will enjoy themselves
and know that you took special care in preparing and seeing that everything
was in order. You make
your guests welcome and bid them come into your home and celebrate
with you.
My children, this is what Advent should represent to each of you. The
word Advent means awaiting
the coming of a special event. So you should prepare for it, much as
you plan for a worldly event as
stated above. It's a time for cleansing, a time for healing, a time
for developing a spiritual life that will
prepare you for the special guest to enter your heart on that special
Christmas Day.
First, let me say to you, the special invitation is given to mankind
every day to prepare for the coming
of that special guest in your heart. You must answer the invitation
by saying a resounding YES, much
like I did those many years ago on earth when I said my YES to the
angel who gave me such
wonderful tidings of good news.
After you have accepted this special invitation, you must prepare your
hearts for the special day
when your guest arrives. Your heart and soul must be made clean and
spotless. The outer
appearance must glow with the glitter of decorative lights that shine
for all to see.
How do you go about performing this spiritual cleaning? First, repent
of all of your faults, forgive all
enemies, read spiritual books that will put you in tune with the heavenly
hosts that sing the praise of
my divine Son. The special food you prepare for your soul could be
attending church services,
saying devotional prayers, especially my rosary, and doing good deeds
and offering them up to the
Father.
Put on a fresh coat of paint that will take away all the grime that
has been accumulated and made
your heart dull and out of tune with the majestic choir of angels.
Clean and prepare your heart and
mind, for they are the developers of the soul. Do not clutter it with
garbage that filters to the soul.
Make the soul beautiful and use it as your centerpiece on the banquet
table. Make your soul
beautiful so that, when you open the door to your invited guest, he
will see the gold chain of love that
was prepared for you as his gift.
So, please pray, do penance, help others in the name of Jesus. Make
every day a day of joyful
anticipation for the coming of the Lord and savior. Await his coming
with a prayerful attitude, so that
when the glorious day arrives, your heart will be ready to greet him.
Oh, what joy you shall
experience on the eve of the blessed day, for you will find his peace
and his love! And if you have
prepared the way as he asked you and you are a good and faithful servant
who followed his
directions, you will be rewarded with a joyful celebration of love.
Please say YES to my Son and
then prepare for his coming, like I did so many years ago. Prepare
for the feast. Get your house in
order so that when the joyful day arrives, you will be ready to greet
your honored guest with humility
and devoted love.
In this special time of Advent, I ask all my children to prepare for
CHRISTMAS. Make ready for
my Son's coming, and I promise you your celebration on Christmas Day
will be as wonderful as
mine was on the first Christmas Day when I held the blessed child in
my arms. You, too, will find the
special peace that emanates from my Son. Your heart will swell with
such wondrous love, and you
will find your special star that will guide you to the place where
you will meet and greet your loving
friend and savior, Jesus. You will pay him homage by your gifts of
love and your gracious hospitality.
You must invite him into your heart and soul and then prepare yourself
to welcome this most
honored guest, and he will greet you with many blessings.
My children, make this Advent a special one. Turn your hearts and minds
to him, giving him all honor
and glory. Try to visualize my blessed Joseph and me, as we prepared
for his coming and follow our
example. We waited with joyful anticipation, prayerful supplication,
and much love.
I leave you now with blessings from me and my Son. I thank you for giving
me this opportunity to
speak to you and tell you what you must do to prepare for his coming.
It will be a joyful occasion, a
wondrous feast, if you adhere to my request concerning what to do at
this special time of year. Go
now, rest in his peace and know that I, your loving mother, love you
for responding to my call.
Your loving mother,
MARY
