I FELT THE TOUCH OF HER FAITH

This lovely lyric brings to mind the story of my encounter with

the lady who was dying and came to me to be healed. This scripture passage is a story of faith, true
faith that makes miracles happen.

The lady was very ill. Her doctor had told her she would soon die. She had no one to turn to, and
she was distraught, frightened, and in much pain.

She had been told fascinating stories about a young Galilean who worked miracles among the
people, and she was very moved by the stories. She prayed for a miracle but knew her future
looked bleak and dark. Suddenly, a light broke through the darkness of her mind as she prayed for a
cure to her illness.

One lovely day, I walked with my friends down the main street of a small village. Many people
joined me along the way, and I began to teach them lessons, as I was apt to do when people
approached me. Suddenly, I felt an electric wave go from me as I felt a sweet face pressed to the
hem of my garment. I looked down at this soul kneeling before me, and I held out my hand and
brought her to her feet and told her that, because of her deep faith, she was cured of her ailment.

This woman had never seen me. She had not been one of my followers. She merely heard stories
about me and the works of mercy I performed. Her faith was strong, and she knew only that she
wanted to be free of pain and free to perform her duties for her family once again, so she prayed for
a miracle. When she heard the wonderful happenings taking place in her village and the surrounding
villages performed by this young Galilean who claimed to be the long awaited Messiah, she fell to her
knees and asked for enlightenment. After much prayer, she knew what she must do. She inquired
about my next visit to her village. When she was told of my visit, she immediately knew what course
she must take.

As I walked down the center of the village, she saw me approaching, and she immediately gave
praise and glory to her God and asked to be cured. She looked directly at me as I approached her,
and, recognizing the God in me, she fell to her knees and kissed the hem of my garment.
Immediately, she felt the electric shock go through her entire body. She looked into my eyes as I
became aware of her, and I held out my hands and lifted her to her feet. I told her that, because of
her deep abiding faith, she was cured of her ailment. She acknowledged me, and, with tears
streaming down her face, she thanked me for curing her. She asked no questions. She knew, without
a doubt, that she had been cured and was very grateful. Her faith never wavered. She believed with
all her heart that if she was granted the vision of seeing me, she would be cured, and so it was.

What has this story to do with my people in this day and time? Faith--faith and trust in your God. All
who are reading this oracle now, let me ask, are you besieged with problems in your life at this time?
Are you ill in body, mind, or both? Have you had a tragedy befall you? Have you been angry, bitter,
and weighed down with a heart of stone, a heart that has turned from the love and promises of your
savior? Do you really believe in a loving God at this stage in your life? If your answer is YES to the
last questions, I say unto you, do you really believe in me? Do you really believe I can do all things,
even work miracles? Is your faith strong like the dying woman's in this Biblical story? Answer these
questions honestly. Put your problems down on paper. List them in the order of priority, the greatest
to the least. Give these problems to me and as a token of your belief in me, leave them with me and
forget them. Can you do this? Let me test your faith. Many say they believe in me, but when
problems hit "close to home," they falter in their belief. Often I hear, "If you are a kind, loving God,
how could you allow this tragedy to happen to innocent people, to people who are trying to do you
will?" I say unto you, "Go back and read the Biblical account of my life." I believed in my people,
and I trusted my disciples. I taught them and loved them, and look what happened to me! Do you
think your lives should be problem- free in your world? No, only in my world are spirits free from
problems, suffering, or worry. Why is this so? Remember, because of the fall of the first inhabitants
of your world, who told God they believed in him and then lied to him and denied him, man is now
made to suffer for his erroneous sins. Paradise was denied man because of the sins committed
against the Creator. I came into this world to take away the sins of mankind, and I had to suffer and
die for their offenses.

I spoke many times while on earth regarding faith. Read the parable of the mustard seed, for one
example. Where are you on your "faith walk" with me? Do you only believe in me when all is right in
your lives? Or, when times are tough, do you believe in me enough to search me out, find me, and
touch me by opening your heart and soul to me and believing, truly believing, that I can cure your
problems, illness, or otherwise? If you do, this is deep abiding faith and trust. You will feel the same
electric shock that the woman in this Biblical story felt. You will feel it transmitted from me to you,
and you will know, in no uncertain terms, that I am real, that your plight has been realized by me, and
that I, your Lord and master, will lift you from your sorrows, pains, and burdens, and say unto you,
"Fear not, for your faith has healed you." I have lifted your burdens just as I lifted the distressed soul
in the Biblical account, so too, I will lift your burdens from you and gaze into your soul's eyes, and
you will feel my healing light and will realize , like the lady, that I am truly who I say I am--your friend
and savior. I am the only one that can free you from worry, from doubt, from illness and pains, from
trials and tribulations that may befall you while you inhabit the earth.

Every day, whether in joy or sorrow, say unto me:

My Lord Jesus, I come to you

with my joys and sufferings of this day.

I give you my joys of this day

and my sufferings and fears of this day,

and I ask that I be blessed by you

as I continue my faith walk with you,

please, with your goodness.

I know that being a human man/woman,

I can do nothing to bring this about on my own,

but if I truly believe in you

and know you to be my personal savior,

I can do all things in you, for you are my strength.

You are my personal savior and, most of all,

you are truly my friend who loves me.

I give all to you this day--my joys and my sorrows,

all my pains and worries, I deliver to you.

Forsake me not, I pray. Forgive me my offenses

and let me gaze into your eyes

so that I, too, will feel your touch,

and your love flow out from you to me.

I love and believe in you with all my heart and soul.

Amen.

Please pray this prayer often and let me tenderly gaze into your eyes and take away all your
tribulations and celebrate with you in all the joyful times you experience while in human form.
Remember, I am a God of love. I am real. Believe in me, for I believe in you and will always be with
you to love and guide you back to my world, where you will suffer no more, where only joyful times
await you.

Go now in my peace and love.

Your loving friend and savior,

JESUS
